The legend of Čadrg
A village whose women brought their husbands in baskets.
They say the first settlers carried their men over the Bukovec pass in baskets — too steep for the unwilling, only for the stubborn. The village above Tolmin first appears in records in 1326. The cheese made here takes its name from the valley below.
